Authority

The RVCPD is authorized by 110 ILCS 805/3-42.1. All Rock Valley College Police Officers have the same authority as city police and county sheriffs, including the power to arrest on sigh. RVCPD enforces all the laws of the state of Illinois, city of Rockford, and regulations of the college.
