LIT-101 Introduction to Literature
Introduction to Literature teaches students to study literature critically by examining the formal characteristics of texts and practicing close reading to interpret and analyze the meanings that texts create. Students will study multiple types of literature (including fiction, poetry, drama, and nonfiction) from a range of periods, cultures, and genres. Students will also be introduced to literacy criticism about selected texts.
Prerequisite
Sufficiently high placement score resulting in ENG-101, or completed
ENG-099 with a grade of C or higher.
