DNT-110 Nutrition & Biochemistry
Nutrition and Biochemistry will prepare students to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the nutritional needs of patients and contribute to their nutritional well-being. This course is designed to provide the basic nutritional facts the dental hygienist requires to plan and implement effective nutritional counseling with a patient. The biochemistry of nutrients, their metabolism, and current concepts in nutrition throughout the life cycle will also be covered.
