ECE-100 Introduction to Early Childhood Education

Introduction to Early Childhood Education provides an introduction to the early childhood education profession with an emphasis on developmentally appropriate practices, professionalism, and historical foundations of early education. An overview of program models, various types of early childhood programs, community resources, the family's role in education, diversity, contemporary trends and issues in programs for children ages birth through eight will be addressed. Fifteen (15) hours of field observations are required. *This course is Quality Matters Certified.
